QOhMyQR

Frequently Asked Questions

Is everything really processed in my browser?

Yes. Every tool on OhMyQR is a small JavaScript program that runs in your browser tab. URLs, WiFi passwords, vCard data, CSV files, and logos are never uploaded to our server.

Do I need to sign up?

No account is needed. Just open a tool and start typing.

Is it free?

Yes — completely free, no watermark and no daily limit. The site is supported by ads.

Are the QR codes static?

Yes. The URL or text you encode is baked into the QR. We do not run a redirect service. If you need to change the destination later, regenerate the code or use a dedicated dynamic-QR service.

Can I use the QR codes commercially?

Yes. The QR Code specification is in the public domain — codes you generate here are yours to use commercially without attribution.

What is the maximum batch size?

Up to 1,000 codes per CSV. Large batches (500+) may briefly slow your browser tab.

Will my code scan on every phone?

Modern iOS (11+) and Android (10+) cameras read standard QR codes natively. Always test by scanning your finished code with two different phones before printing.

What barcode formats are supported?

CODE128, CODE39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC, and ITF-14 — covering the vast majority of retail, logistics, and inventory use cases.

Why do I see ads?

Ads cover the running cost of the site (domain, analytics, time). Ads are clearly labeled and never placed where they could be mistaken for a QR code.
